Meet Billy Mays
Ashley's Aunt Peggy went to the gas station one day and came home with more than fuel for her car. She had a kitten who needed a ride.

Kitty on Board

"My aunt was getting gas and Billy trotted up to her," says Ashley. "She could tell that he was really young by his size. I could hold him in one hand.

Billy looked at Aunt Peggy with his sad little kitty eyes and she couldn't leave him there, especially after seeing him with another gas station patron. Billy had walked up to a man and cuddled up to him, the man pet him and then got in his truck and drove away. Billy tried to follow the man out into the road, which is where my aunt stopped him and put Billy into her SUV. Then Aunt Peggy asked an employee about Billy and the woman said please take him, that kitten comes here every day trying to get someone to take him home. Aunt Peggy knew I love cats and the rest is history."

"Bonzi and Shenzi licked him dry
and cuddled up to him."

A Warm (and Wet) Welcome

Billy came home to a mom and dad, and a sister and brother - Bonzi and Shenzi. "We washed him," says Ashley, "and Bonzi and Shenzi licked him dry and cuddled up to him in a chair. Once mommy and daddy went to bed, Billy jumped onto the bed, curled up to mommy's chin with his paw on her face and went right to sleep, and has slept with her every night since then."

A Different Kind of Cat Box

According to Ashley, "Billy and his siblings own the house. And Billy rules certain aspects of the house, such as all boxes, chairs and toys. Any box that is in the house is Billy's. Billy has several boxes," Ashley continues, "a pizza box, a shipping box, a printer box, and a shoe box. Whether the box is on the floor or on a table, Billy will lie in it, and from that second on it is his box. He will fight Shenzi and Bonzi if either of them try to lie on or in his box."

"Billy rules certain aspects of the house,
such as all boxes, chairs and toys."

Billy is generous about chairs, however. He will even share the pizza box if he is on his favorite chair, which is the one in the bedroom. "Chairs for Billy are not like boxes," explains Ashley. "He will share them.except for the one in the bedroom."

"If Shenzi or Bonzi is playing with a ball,
Billy will walk over to them, pick up the
ball in his mouth, and trot away with it."

The Cat With the Most Toys Wins

Sharing toys, however, is a definite no-no. That goes for toys that are not, strictly speaking, Billy's. "Billy has his favorite toys (which are all of them) and he doesn't share them," says Ashley. "If Shenzi or Bonzi is playing with a ball, Billy will walk over to them, pick up the ball in his mouth, and trot away with it into another room."

Billy is also quite possessive of his people. "Billy is very loving and demands attention," says Ashley. "When you go to feed the fish, he jumps on the desk and nudges your arm for attention. He gets jealous when you are giving the other pets attention but he will somewhat patiently wait his turn to jump into your lap. When daddy comes in the door," she continues, "Billy waits till he sits down and he jumps into his lap and purrs. When Grandma comes to the door, Billy follows her around the house nonstop." And when Ashley comes home, "Billy runs to the door and demands to be petted," Ashley says, not with a meow but with a "squeak."

Billy and Bonzi Go Beachin'

"Billy loves to walk on his leash with his brother," Ashley says. They also enjoy the car ride to the beach, where "Billy loves to lie in the warm sand and be cute so he will get all the attention from the people on the beach. Bonzi, on the other hand, loves to dig in the sand and throw it on Billy."

After their walk, "Billy and Bonzi fall over on the rug and lazily bat at each other. Once Billy is bored of this, he shoots up the cat tree or runs over to his favorite box and relaxes till mommy goes to bed. Once mommy is in bed Billy stretches out and rests a paw lovingly on mommy's face and goes to sleep until he is rested for his next kitty adventure."

Billy and BLUE

"Billy, Bonzi, and Shenzi all love BLUE so much," says Ashley. "They have all evened out to a healthy weight. They are all more active (especially Billy) and have smooth, shiny fur. They don't gorge themselves on food anymore and have a healthy appetite. They don't get hairballs much anymore either. BLUE has changed the lives of my pets for the better."
