| Meet Emma |
For pet parent Jessica, it was her husband who brought Emma into their lives. "He was attending the police academy in 2003 and was told that a litter of kittens was found in the woods," Jessica shares. "Just like me, he is a sucker for animals. He quickly persuaded me that we needed these kittens. We started with two and a few months later we adopted the other two, including Emma. They quickly adjusted to each other and Emma made it clear that she was the boss."
When Jessica's Eyes Open In
The Morning, You Can Be Sure
Emma Is There
Emma is always the first to rise. "As soon as she sees one of my eyes open, she is in my face meowing and walking all over me for her Blue Buffalo," Jessica explains. "She is also the first to eat."

As for the rest of her day, Emma lives the simple life. She sleeps wherever she wants and plays with her toy balls that she can fetch and throw all by herself. And then, before you know it, her mommy comes home after a long day. "As soon as my keys are in the door, Emma is down the stairs and meowing me with her greeting", Jessica relates. "She lets me pet her hello and then runs back up the stairs. I think we both look forward to this moment in our day."
Just Call Emma "The Queen Bee"
That's what Jessica considers Emma-and it's an apt name when you realize how Emma acts around the house. "The other cats get out of her way," Jessica explains. "Of my four cats, which are from the same litter, Emma stands out as the leader. The others all know that Emma eats first and they step aside for her to enter and leave a room. Emma's personality is very dominant, very vocal, but she has a sweet and loving side, too."
Emma also likes to sit in the family's computer chair which they call 'The Manager's Chair'. Jessica adds, "We know the boss is in and she goes wherever she pleases. And Emma is very vocal and demands her food in the morning."

But when it comes to her mommy, Emma is very protective. "Emma loves to follow me around and be near my side", Jessica adds. "She often doesn't let the others get too close to me, including my husband."
Emma Gets "Attached" To
The Tissue Box
Emma can be very curious and a bit of a troublemaker. She has been known to get into everything, from diving into a bag of cough drops to chasing a rubber band. "One time," Jessica remembers, "Emma stuck her head into a tissue box and got it stuck for a minute. She ran around frantically until I was able to catch her and take it off. "It was a funny sight and always makes me laugh."
Emma And BLUE
Jessica and her husband had switched cat foods many times since their cats were kittens.
Jessica explains, "they had various reactions to different dry foods and we were never happy with any of them. The cats had severe dry skin and dandruff, weight gain and sometimes very smelly waste. Luckily, a few years ago in PetSmart, we came across a BLUE representative who told us about the benefits of the Blue Buffalo products.
