| Meet Cookie |
It was love at first sight. Not just for Lisa when she met her cat, Cookie (although Lisa remembers "I fell in love with my little girl the moment I saw her"), but also for Cookie, when she met Lisa's parakeet, Chio.
A Bird's Best Friend
"Cookie found an early bond with our parakeet, Chio," explains Lisa. "She would sit and watch her from underneath the bird cage, then put her paw up on it so Chio would come down and pick at her paw. The two still do this ritual today."
Think that's uncatlike? Wait until you hear about Cookie's daily bathing ritual.
"I've had a lot of cats over the years, and
she is the most unique one I've ever had."

Aquatic Cat
When Lisa heads for the shower in the morning, Cookie beats her to it. "For some reason," Lisa says, "Cookie always runs into the bathroom ahead of me." She "rubs her face on the shower faucet," her signal for Lisa to "turn it on a trickle so she can play in it." Then, in she goes. "She gets in the bathtub and gets wet," Lisa says. "I thought cats didn't like water?!"
Protected by a Guard Cat
When Lisa finally gets her turn in the shower, Cookie sits on the rug in the bathroom "kind of like my guard dog," Lisa remarks. In fact, according to Lisa, "Cookie guards me wherever I go, and I'm usually never out of her sight."
"Cookie acts like a dog," Lisa continues. "She loves cuddling. She snuggles with me on the couch while I watch TV," says Lisa, and when it's time for bed, "she will jump up so I can snuggle with her and she can be with me."
"Cookie acts like a dog. She loves
cuddling. Guards me wherever I go, and
I'm usually never out of her sight."

Between her morning ablutions and bedtime snuggle, "she'll poke around at her food dish, get a drink, then she will run from window to window so she can see what's going on in the world. Or she will sneak up on my 15-year-old daughter and pounce on her. The two are play buddies. She will prop herself up on the footboard of my bed so she can watch my bearded dragon, Sabre - a lizard - "walk around and eat crickets. (Usually she hopes a cricket will jump out of his tank, because she loves to play with them.)"
Cookie and BLUE
"Blue Buffalo is an excellent food," declares Lisa. She ought to know. "I work in a big-name pet store, and I recommend Blue Buffalo to all customers who ask questions about premium foods. Cookie's coat and health have never been better."
