| Meet Bubba |
When David's previous cat, Stacy, "used up her ninth life," it was the first time in over two decades that David had been without a cat. "I really missed having a feline companion," he says. "My wife and I agreed that when we finished our summer travels in August, we'd look for another cat. Even our dog, Annie, wanted a new cat companion!"
A Bubba-ly Personality
When they returned home, David asked their vet if she knew of any "big, friendly male cats with lots of 'catitude' who were looking for a good home." She had the perfect cat for David - Bubba. "They told me he loves to hang out with people, and has quite a personality," remembers David. "Indeed, it was mutual love at first sight. Upon returning home, I told my wife about Bubba, and asked her to check him out and tell me what she thought. The next day, my wife did just that, and brought Bubba home."
Striking the Right Note
Despite his reputation for having an outgoing personality, Bubba wasn't feeling at home right away, so David decided to put him at ease by playing classical music.
"After a few minutes," David says, "he jumped up on the couch and snuggled next to me for half an hour, calm, content, and purring. We've been enjoying classical music concerts ever since."
"I decided to play some classical music to

Bubba adapted well to his dog companion, Annie, too. "We were wondering how Bubba and Annie would get along," David says. "After they were together for a few weeks, we knew we didn't need to worry. My wife and I were sitting on the couch with Annie. Bubba came over and plopped himself on Annie's side. The two of them stayed still, and were soon fast asleep."
Who's the Boss?
When the two are awake, it may be Annie who rules the house, but "Bubba realizes that he's the most important thing in the house!" says David. "Being told to move when he doesn't feel like it? Forget about it! Stay off the kitchen counters? Nope, not happening!"
"It's a cat's dream life," continues David. "Sleeping, eating, playing, getting neck scratches, and of course, supervising humans who just wouldn't know what to do if left to their own devices!"
Bubba's confidence extends outside the house, too.
"Bubba has enough catitude for two cats."

"When the weather is not too hot," David explains, "Bubba loves to go out on our screened-in lanai to check for any wildlife and to watch the birds come and go at the bird feeder. One day, a raccoon came by, saw Bubba and came right up to the screen. Bubba came right up to the other side of the screen, and was nose-to-nose with the raccoon, trying to make friends with him!
Bubba has enough 'catitude' for two cats. He simply knows that he's the hottest thing on four legs! He loves to show off his hunky body to the world by lying on his back and stretching out. You can tell that he's thinking, "Anyone who can see this perfect feline specimen is very lucky indeed".
Bubba and BLUE
"I bought a bag of Blue Buffalo cat food after a cat-loving friend told me about BLUE's healthful ingredients, and how it doesn't contain any junk or filler," David says. "Bubba really enjoys the food, which has kept him in fine health. If it's dinner time, Bubba will point to the clock impatiently, and wonder if I realize that he's lost one-quarter ounce of weight since the morning and is now starving! I've also noticed that a little BLUE goes a long way: Bubba is 18 inches long from head to hind legs, and he weighs 20 pounds, yet he eats only two-thirds of a cup of BLUE per day."
